Secretary General to address World Economic Forum at Davos Tuesday 26 January 2010
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Bari, the Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) has been invited to speak at the Open Forum of the World Economic Forum on ‘Lessons from the Past and Redesign Future Values’ on Friday the 29th January 2010.
During his attendance at the Forum, the Secretary General will also be interviewed by Peter Bisanz, a Young Global Leader of the WEF for their Values Task Force initiative.
Notes: Recognising the immense importance of the world faith communities, since its inception 40 years ago the World Economic Forum (WEF) has invited the voices of the faith leaders to join the 26 most influential head of states from around the world as well as top business, media and opinion leaders to a wide ranging set of issues and activities dedicated to improving the state of the world.
The Muslim Council of Britain is the UK's largest Muslim umbrella body with around 500 affiliated national, regional and local organisations, mosques, charities and schools.
