Title: Muslim Educators Eid Dinner

Summary: The aims of the dinner are to: 1) Create a platform for teachers to network 2) Share good practice 3) Discuss, dialogue and debate how we can raise standards of young people, particularly those from the disadvantaged backgrounds 4) Share ideas about the role of a teacher in the current climate
Description: Keynote speeches

There will be keynote speeches dealing with current and topical educational issues from leading educationists:

1. Dame Anna Hassan - Former head teacher and educational adviser on national educational projects

2. Lord Maurice Glassman of Stoke Newington and Stamford Hill - Senior lecturer and Policy adviser to Ed Milliband

3. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Bari - Director of MCB and Chairman of East London Mosque Trust.

4. Dr. Jim Anderson - Senior lecturer in language education, Goldsmith University

5. Rukhsana Yakub - President of Muslim Teachers Association and a former adviser to DFE on national strategies

6. Philip Preedy - Former head teacher and Ofsted inspector
