The Muslim Council of
Britain wishes you a blessed, happy and joyful Eid.
The Muslim festival marks the end of a month of fasting, spiritual reflection
and good works.
In Britain this year, this holy period has been very special as the Muslim
Council of Britain's affiliated mosques and Islamic associations were full with
nightly acts of prayer and devotion. Many institutions also opened their doors
to their neighbours to share the daily evening meal of Iftar.
Moreover, along with the millions of pounds that were raised for good causes
this month, we witnessed many initiatives where local Muslims shared food with
the hungry and the homeless, regardless of creed or colour.
We hope that spirit of unity, solidarity and social conscience carries on for
the rest of the year.
As this holy month draws to a close, we would like to remind you again to
support our charitable work to seek the common good, unity amongst Muslims and
celebrate the very best of British Muslim life.
