MCBDirect are hosting the first of a series of fundraising evenings in Manchester on the 27th of March 2004. The evening will see the launch of an exciting new initiative - the Books 4 Schools project. This is an evening in which every member of the community will be able to actively participate in contributing to a better understanding of Islam in Britain. But there is more in store, for this will also be an evening of good food and even better entertainment, God Willing. With the talented young Nasheed artist Sami Yusuf performing live, what better way to spend an evening? So take up our invite to support a much-needed cause and relax with friends and family in a pleasant environment.
We hope, God Willing, to provide high quality Islamic resources to mainstream schools across the country. We realise this is a challenging task but are entirely convinced that it is, with your support, achievable. We are equally encouraged by the enquiries and pledges that have so far been received. Donations from as far a field as Beirut have been pledged and a number of Standing Advisory Committees on Religious Education (SACRE) and Muslim publishers have expressed their desire to work with us.
We invite each and every one of you to play an active role in supporting Books 4 Schools and there are several ways in which you can positively contribute:
