Seminar: Charity Law, Governance & Regulation

In an increasingly regulated environment, and with greater expectations of charitable community institutions from multiple stakeholders, there is a need for mosques, community centres and charities generally to pursue and maintain the highest standards in their operations and management, from an ethical and legal point of view. This program will be chaired by Ifath Nawaz, a Senior Consultant Solictor and Chair of MCB’s Legal Affairs. The program has three important sessions delivered by three experts:

(i) ‘Charity law’ by Khaled Moyeed, Solicitor specialising in charity law and regulation

(ii) ‘Governance’ by Saif Ahmad, former CEO of Muslim Aid, Islamic Help and Al Khair Foundation and the Managing Director of McAndrew Executive Coaching and Leadership

(iii) ‘Regulation’ by Nick Donaldson, Head of Faith Charities Engagement, Charity Commission
