Call for Candidates Notice for SG and DSG
In my capacity as Election Commissioner, I am issuing this Call for Candidates Notice for those wishing to stand for the Secretary General (SG) and Deputy Secretary General (DSG) positions for the term 2026–2028.
Persons interested should notify me by 22 May 2026 at [email protected]
Each prospective candidate should provide:
(i) Proof of British citizenship or indefinite leave to remain (ILR)
(ii) Supporting letter from affiliate President & Secretary confirming membership
(iii) Manifesto (max 750 words) outlining experience and vision
(iv) Provide DBS evidence 5 days before AGM
Additionally, please note the candidate will need to be an affiliate’s delegate (the process for delegate registration and voting will shortly be provided to affiliates).
I will announce eligible candidates on 5 June 2026 in’sha’Allah on the MCB website. Their manifestos will also be published on the website. I will also be providing details on hustings after consultation with the eligible candidates.
