In my capacity as Election Commissioner, on 15 April 2026, I issued a call for nominations for candidates for the posts of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General for the 2026-2028 term. The deadline for reply was 22 May 2026. Having now received responses and checked the accompanying necessary documentation, I declare the following eligible candidates:

Next Steps and Voting Process
Voting for the candidates of Deputy Secretary General will be prior to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and in due course, I will share details regarding the voting process. The result of the election will be announced at our AGM on Saturday 18th July 2026.
