I, Mohammed Belayeth Hussain, the MCB’s Independent Election Commissioner for the 2026 Elections, am pleased to share the results of the elections.
For the position of Secretary General, Dr Mohammed Wajid Akhter has won, standing unopposed, and will continue his current term for another two (2) years, from 2026 to 2028.
For the position of Deputy Secretary General, Mr Maswood Ahmed has won, standing unopposed, and will continue his current term for another two (2) years, from 2026 to 2028.
The Nation Council and Zonal Representatives elections were also successfully carried out.
