The Muslim Council of Britain condemns the strike on a hospital in Afghanistan that has caused the death and injury of many patients.

A war between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the month of Ramadan is not just a distant conflict but a very real concern for many British Muslims that have roots in these nations.

This will lead to higher civilian casualties, greater number of refugees and further instability. We urge the Government to encourage the two nations to return to the path of diplomacy and negotiations as brokered by the Qatari and Turkish governments.
