Following the Government’s announcement confirming the new bereavement leave entitlement, we are pleased to have supported a successful campaign win which will mean positive change for all those affected by a bereavement.
The Government has now confirmed up to two weeks of leave, available from April 2027, which can be taken in individual days across 56 weeks from the death or from learning about it.
This recognises that grief doesn’t follow a timetable, and people need the choice to take time when they need it most.
