The MCB thanks the Lord Mayor for a wonderful Eid Celebration at the historic Old Library at the Guildhall.
As part of the evening reception the Lord Mayor, Michael Mainelli (the 695th Lord Mayor of the City of London), shared his recognition of the great contribution of British Muslims to London, of the wonderful diversity of communities and shared his appreciation for those who had completed fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
Following the Lord Mayor, a special prayer was read by MCB Secretary-General, Zara Mohammed who chose to read the english translation of Surah Ad-Duha, sharing the importance of holding on to hope and peace during these difficult times. The message resonating deeply with all.
Thereafter, there was some great entertainment, canapés and opportunity to network with partners, colleagues and leaders across London.
